Tony Oswald is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and has painted and drawn horses as long as he can remember. His ability with pen and pencil has resulted in a sizable number of black and white renditions of racing scenes as well as treasured reminders of historic landmarks of the area. Before his retirement he was an illustrator for a local manufacturer. Over the years he has studied with several noted artists and been active in the local art world.

Churchill Downs may be a Mecca for turfdom the first Saturday of May, but Tony Oswald maintains a year round interest in the equestrian world.

Tony is a regular at all the local and most of the regional shows, is an exhibiting member of the Kentucky Guild and active with the Kentucky Heritage Arts, Kentucky Watercolor Society and Lexington Art League. His paintings are on display in local banks, restaurants, oiffices, club houses and countless homes.
